Let Experienced Radiation Protection Educators Present the Fundamentals

This radiation safety training course will provide those who handle, offer for transport, or transport nuclear materials Class 7 dangerous goods for road shipment the general knowledge required to perform their duties. This course was developed to meet the general knowledge training requirements of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and Transport Canada for Class 7 materials.

The transport of nuclear materials has unique requirements compared to other dangerous goods classes. Other TDG courses may not go into depth with the hazards presented by and unique regulatory structure for nuclear materials. The Radiation Safety Institute of Canada has over 40 years of experience teaching concepts in radiation protection, including transportation.

This course can be accessed several ways: organizations can arrange for one of our instructors to come to your workplace and teach the course on site, for a private course  to be delivered to your employees at our National Education Center in Toronto, or for a private course to be delivered real-time online.  Private courses can be customized for your workplace for an additional cost. Contact us for more details.

Breaks are offered throughout the day, including one hour for lunch. Please note that the timing of the course is set for the time-zone of the course location. For example, if the course location is specified as Toronto, the course will begin at 9:00 am Eastern time and the lunch break will be around noon Eastern time. All course materials will be provided electronically and certificates will be accessed online.
