Did you know?
Radioactive radon gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking in Ontario.
Join us on May 1st for a day of education and open dialog on occupational and public health implications of exposure to radioactivity from radon gas.
The purpose of the event is to provide “good science in plain language” information about the potential radon hazard and allow the event participants to form their own opinions and contribute to building a comprehensive provincial radon policy.
This unique Program features experts in the field of health and safety, medical doctors, federal and provincial government representatives as well as presentations from front line workers.
The One-Day Radon Symposium will be of interest to all employers and employees, members of public, government agencies, unions, professional associations, health and safety associations, members of the provincial and municipal government, legislators, as well as radon professionals.
Don’t miss your chance to get educated and provide your input for the Ontario Radon Policy.
