About the Radiation Safety Institute of Canada

Founded in 1980, the Radiation Safety Institute of Canada (RSIC) is an independent, non-governmental, national organization dedicated to promoting and advancing radiation safety in the workplace, in the environment, and in the community. Our commitment to the principle of “Good Science in Plain Language”® underpins everything we do. We offer a broad range of educational, technical, and scientific services to businesses, organizations, and individuals across Canada and around the world. RSIC is non-partisan and a registered charity, with our National Office and Training Centre located in Toronto.

About the Role

We are growing our Toronto team and adding a new Radiation Scientist position. This role will work closely with our Director of Education, supporting both real-time (in-class) and eLearning radiation safety course offerings. The role will also build a working knowledge of the broader Radiation Scientist function, including field surveys, technical reporting, and client consultation, so the team has flexibility and depth across its programs.

We’re looking for a self-starter who is flexible, responsible, and comfortable presenting in front of a class, both online and in person. As subject-matter experts, our scientists lead all content, training, and technical work. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained and to grow within the organization as you build expertise in radiation safety science and education. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

This is a genuine new position, created to support the continued growth of our education programs and consulting services. It is not a replacement for an existing role.
